League Scoring System
Welcome to the Te Kauwhata Texas Hold-em League! Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, understanding the scoring system is key to success. Here's how the points work in our league:
1. Attendance Points
Each player receives 1 point for attending a game session. There are 10 sessions per season, and each one is an opportunity to earn valuable points toward the overall standings.
2. Knockout Points
Whenever a player eliminates another from the game by winning a hand when the other player is all-in, they earn an additional 1 point. This point is awarded for every knockout, making it crucial to play aggressively and strategically during each hand.
3. Highest Hand Value Points
The player with the highest hand value in each session will earn 3 points. This point rewards the players who consistently make strong plays and win with top hands, adding another layer of strategy to each session.
4. Buy-ins & Add-ons
Players can buy-in twice during each session or opt to purchase a second buy-in as an add-on. These additional buy-ins or add-ons affect the scoring in the following way:
For each buy-in or add-on a player makes, the points awarded for knocking them out will increase.
League Standings & The League Pot:
The total points accumulated throughout the season will determine each player’s overall league standing.
The top three players who score the most points during the season will receive a payout from the League Pot.
Key Points Summary:
